Meridian Ward 4 City Councilwoman Romande Walker was presented the James Chaney Award by the Meridian/Lauderdale County NAACP at the branch’s awards banquet Saturday.
The award was presented to Walker in recognition of her dedication and hard work “to ensure that James Chaney Day and Park are never forgotten, ” the award stated.
