Join a park naturalist to explore the nature trails and look for early wildflowers, busy birds, and other signs of spring in the diverse habitats of the park. State Park is looking for people of all ages who want to care for the park and share their love of nature by volunteering with the Nature Center. Informational meeting at 11 a.m., followed by potential training. Opportunities available include staffing the Nature Center, leading hikes, helping with big events, gardening, and more. If you are interested in volunteering but cannot attend this meeting, please contact the nature center.

Create three-dimensional fish using multimedia collage and found object techniques. The finished fish can be strung for hanging or mounted into fish stick puppets, and classes will conclude with a short ice cream social. Suggested for ages 7 to 11. It’s a New York State Free Fishing Weekend, which means anyone can go fishing without needing a license.
