• Lily Rehberg of Dalton was named to the University of Evansville Dean’s List for the fall 2023 semester. Rehberg is studying theater. Students at UE are named to the Dean’s List every fall and spring semester. To merit the honor of being placed on the Dean’s List a student must have carried a full academic load of 12 hours or more and have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or above.
• Julie Stevens of Dalton graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University during the fall 2023 Commencement Ceremonies on Dec. 14. Stevens earned a bachelor of business administration in accounting. Each ceremony was streamed live and recorded on GSW’s YouTube channel. • Tiffany Teasley, a resident of Rocky Face, made the fall 2023 Academic Achievement List at Georgia Southwestern State University. To be eligible for the list a student must previously earn at least 12 credit hours at GSW, be enrolled in three to 11 hours of courses, and earn a 3.5 or higher grade point average.
• Jeff Armando Avila of Dalton graduated from Jacksonville State University on Dec. 15 with a degree in music. Avila was named to the President’s List for the fall 2023 semester. To be named to the President’s List students must earn a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the semester while completing at least 12 hours of GPA course credit.
• Local students named to the Dean’s List for their outstanding academic performance at Jacksonville State University in fall 2023 are:

• Ema Turner of Dalton was recently named to the LaGrange College fall semester Vice President of Academic Affairs’ List. To be eligible for this honor students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.6 while taking a minimum course load of 12 hours.
• Mercer University recently announced the President’s List and Dean’s List for the fall 2023 semester. Inclusion on these lists requires students to meet rigorous grade point average standards specific to the college or school within the university.

• For the fall 2023 semester, the University of North Georgia awarded 989 degrees and certificates to graduates. Many of the graduates participated in the fall 2023 commencement ceremonies held Dec. 16 at the Convocation Center at UNG’s Dahlonega Campus. Local students:
