Christian Heritage aced a road region test Friday night, rolling over Chattooga 49-14 to win its seventh straight game.
Christian Heritage (7-1, 5-0 Region 7-A DI) hopped out to a 21-0 first-quarter lead over Chattooga (5-3, 2-3 Region 7-A DI) and never relented.
Carter Triplett passed for 183 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for another. He hit Charlie Idom, Dontae Crowder, Benji Michmerhuizen and Bronx Stallion for the four scores.
Thailan Christopher rushed for 130 yards and touchdown for the Lions.
Chattooga runner Zayden Cook, the statewide leader in rushing yards, got loose for 196 yards and two touchdowns, but the one-man attack wasn’t enough to keep pace with high-flying Christian Heritage.
Christian Heritage is idle next week before hosting Fannin County Oct. 25 in a game that could decide the Region 7-A DI title.
