Former Central Catholic baseball star Cam Devanney will be changing uniforms this spring. He was traded by the Milwaukee Brewers to the Kansas City Royals.
Devanney, who is coming off a very good AAA season with the Brewers Nashville Sound, with 11 home runs and a .265 batting average playing second base, shortstop and third base.
Devanney was part of the deal that sent reliever Ryan Brady, a AA pitcher for the Brewers Biloxi team, to the Royals for reliever Taylor Clarke, who has five years in the big leagues and was 3-6 with a 5.95 ERA in 2023.
Overcoming back issues at Elon University, Devanney starred in his third season as first team All-CAA with 10 homers while hitting .335. He grew up in Amherst, N.H.
