ARREST
A Lockport woman was charged with stealing $400 from her South Transit Road employer on Dec. 16. She was charged with petit larceny.
LARCENY
Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a store on South Transit Road on Dec. 16 where an asset protection employee reported that a suspect had left the store with $85 in merchandise they hadn’t paid for. Deputies were unable to locate the suspect.
ARREST
A man who ate $37.86 in food but was unable to pay for it was charged with petit larceny on Dec. 16. The man’s age and address were not disclosed.
FRAUD
Police are investigating a report of a fraud in Somerset. The victim told a Niagara County Sheriff’s deputy on Wednesday that someone had used her bank account to pay off her phone and trade for a new phone at a cost of $600.05. Later, she called again to report more fraudulent activity and was advised that her Social Security number was compromised.
DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 3000 block of Saunders Settlement Road in Sanborn by a woman who said the tires on her vehicle were slashed after she was involved in an argument with another driver. The victim provided deputies with photos and videos of the suspect and their vehicle’s license plate.
