The Bass Rocks men’s tennis doubles tournament was held over this past weekend with champions crowned in both the A and B flights.
In the A Flight, the duo of Billy Taussig and Scott Heide secured their first victory in a thrilling and entertaining final. The pair upset a strong and competitive team of David Salah and Jim Henaghan by a 7-6, 6-3 score to earn the trophy.
Gregory Beecher and Frank Previte came out victorious in the B Flight finals, securing a marathon triumph over Larry Maver and John Sarrouf (6-4, 3-6, 12-10).
The Murphy brothers, David and Phil won the A Flight consolation, winning over the father-son team of Peter Greeke and Matt Greeke, 10-7.
In the B Flight consolation, Scott Belmonte and Daniel Mitnik defeated Charles Brandt and Andy Matlow, 6-2, 6-3.
