After a two-day Christmas break, the winter sports season is back on.
The Central Catholic girls skated through a pair of scoreless periods with a tough Gloucester squad before the Fishermen finally solved the Raider riddle with a pair of third goals.
Central, which started off the year with four straight victories, is now 4-2. Gloucester improves to 4-1 with the win.

In the opening round of the tourney, hosted by Oyster Rivers, the Owls got 19 points from Liam Kelley, but it wasn’t enough. Matt Fitzgerald tossed in a dozen for Timberlane as well.

The Hillies, in a late one on Monday night, got 25 points from Ale Iraheta in the win. Saul Cruz added nine.
