Whittier Tech 8, Shawsheen 6
The Wildcats built an 8-2 lead behind two hits and three RBIs from Wilmeri Valera and a three-run homer from Ainsley Rousseau in the Commonwealth Conference showdown. Maddie Noury added a pair of hits in the win. Meanwhile, Kaylee Habib was sharp, allowing six hits and a walk, striking out seven for the victory.
Timberlane 16, Bedford 1
After a pair of scoreless frames, the Owls put up seven in the third and seven more in the fifth to end this one early. Audrina Cordeiro singled, doubled and homered, driving in three runs to anchor the 16-hit attack. Chaunda Poulin (3 RBIs) and Lexi Salafia each had two hits.
North Andover 28, Dracut 3
The 14-1 Knights got a monumental Wednesday performance from Ella Mancuso, who blasted a pair of grand slams, driving in 12 runs on the day.
Girls Lacrosse
Bishop Guertin 10, Pinkerton 9
The Astros pushed Division I-leading Guertin to the limit, before falling in overtime. Pinkerton, now 11-5, got five goals and an assist from Hailey Schnider. Delanie Summers scored twice, while Bella Pinardi and Hannah Lisauskas each had a goal. Sara DiClemente was dynamite, making 13 saves in net.
Haverhill 12, Somerville 5
Alex Bushey dominated, scoring nine goals in the victory. Sierra Jepson had a pair of goals and an assist. Shannon Gallagher also scored. Keira Bushey made seven saves in net for the 10-4 Hillies.
Windham 14, Hollis Brookline 7
Chloe Hall scored three goals, including the 200th of her high school career, to lift the Jaguars to the win.
Sophia Ponzini topped the stat sheet with six goals and three assists. Ella Gallinelli scored twice.
Boys Tennis
Dover 7, Salem 2
The Blue Devils’ doubles tandem of Max Condon and Max Sylvester moved to 4-1 together on the year. Dylan Coyle and Matthew Harding teamed up for a 9-7 victory in doubles.
Lebanon 5, Windham 4
The Jaguars close out the regular season with the tough loss. They settle for the No. 2 seed when the playoffs open next week, and 13-0 Lebanon will be the top seed.
Shayan Biswas, Ben Carullo and Russell Adler swept the bottom three singles for Windham. Carullo teamed with Faryan Biswas to win at No. 3 doubles.
Girls Tennis
Tewksbury 3, North Andover 2
The Knights got straight-set wins from Tika Roy at No. 1 singles, and the team of Callie Dias and Ena Deasy at first doubles.
Baseball
Pinkerton 6, Portsmouth 3
On Wednesday, the Astros got six strong innings from Hunter Brasier, who earned the victory. Jackson Marshall worked a 1-2-3 seventh for the save. At the plate, Marshall drilled a home run and drove in a pair. Brasier had a pair of hits.
Dover 8, Timberlane 3
Shaun Ingram reached base three times for the Owls. Liam Kelley and Andrew Pantano each had an RBI in the loss.
Volleyball
Windham 3, Salem 0
The Jags got 14 kills and five blocks from Noah Allan. Jack Begley passed out 21 assists. Adam Ross served eight points with four aces, and Jacob Laher had four digs to anchor the defense.
