AMESBURY, Mass. – Amesbury resident and Assistant Director of Policy at Project Bread, Leran Mine attended the Food Research & Action Center (FRAC) National Anti-Hunger Policy Conference in Washington D.C. earlier this month.
Project Bread is the leading statewide food security organization in Massachusetts, and Minc manages the nonprofit’s policy strategy development and legislative policy analysis.
During the June conference, Project Bread and Mass. Law Reform Institute hosted a Massachusetts delegation meet-and-greet with U.S. Congressman Jim McGovern and members of Whip Katherine Clark and Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley’s staff who work on nutrition and agriculture policy issues.
The group discussed the impact of the proposed House Farm Bill on Massachusetts residents, the current landscape of food insecurity in Massachusetts, and resources that local and statewide organizations can provide to House and Senate members and staff.
Minc will continue his work in Massachusetts to develop inclusive and equitable policy proposals and advocate for statewide initiatives that help, and not harm, all Massachusetts residents.
