BEEKMANTOWN — The 2024 Section VII All-Stars were picked named after the Section VII Gymnastics Championships, Oct 26 at Beekmantown High School.
Those who qualified for states, either through All Around or an apparatus were named to the team.
Defending All Around champion Oona Hall of Seton Catholic defended her title and was joined by Peru’s Ella LaBarge and Caleigh Latour of Plattsburgh for the All Around at states at All Stars.
Plattsburgh, which went undefeated in competition, had All-Stars in Maleah Lunan, Emilee Geiger, Elena Gushlaw and Erin Lin.
Lunan will compete in the bars, beam and floor at States. Geiger will compete in the vault, Gushlaw the bars and Lin in the beam and bars.
Peru will see Aubree Narducci, Hannah Giroux and Sienna Coolidge join LaBarge in Buffalo for the gymnastics championships.
Narducci, like Lunan, will compete three events: the vault, beam and floor. Giroux is set for the vault while Coolidge prepares for the bars and floor.
Beekmantown’s lone All-Star is Fiona Maes, who qualified for the vault.
Honorable mentions went to Jaelynn Lacey and Lauren Lincourt of Plattsburgh and Madyson Tripp of Beekmantown.
All 11 All-Stars will now prepare for the NYSPHSAA Gymnastics Championships, which are set to be held March 1, 2025 at Clarence High School in Buffalo.
