Jennifer Standfest will become the new chief nursing officer for Munson Healthcare in early January. Standfest recently worked as chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care at Munson Healthcare’s Charlevoix Hospital. She also worked as director of nursing practice and professional development at Munson Medical Center, director of women’s and children’s services, director of critical care services, magnet program director, clinical nurse educator and a cardiothoracic critical care nurse. She obtained a master’s degree in nursing from Grand Valley State University and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Calvin University.
Munson Healthcare Kidney and Hypertension Specialists is welcoming Jonathan Ducastel to its staff. Ducastel is a nephrology specialist. He received a medical degree from the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. His internal medicine internship, residency and nephrology fellowship took place at The Ohio State University. He also was chief fellow there.
Emily Causley is the new executive director for the Grayling Regional Chamber of Commerce. Causley has worked in the event industry. She took over for Hayley Strohpaul.
Traverse Connect has named Brenda McLellan as the vice president of investor engagement. She previously was director of investor engagement. McLellan joined Traverse Connect in November 2019.
Lean and Green Michigan recognized three advocates for PACE in Michigan with the 2023 “Most Valuable PACEsetter” award. Recipients include Buck Love, who retired in November from Northern Lakes Economic Alliance. Love helped add Cheboygan and Charlevoix counties to the PACE market. PACE, or Property Assessed Clean Energy, is a financial tool that allows commercial property owners to work with a local government on energy and water-related projects.
Equality Michigan Executive Director Erin Knott was named to Michigan’s first LGBTQ+ Commission by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. She received a bachelor’s degree in social psychology and criminal justice from Western Michigan University and a master’s in administration from Central Michigan University. She will represent LGBTQ+ advocacy organizations through Nov. 29, 2027.
