The Prancing Pretty Ladies, a dance team of Dalton and the Mack Gaston Community Center under the direction of Tamya Wilson, head coach, and assistant coach Robert Garcia, traveled to Thompson on Saturday, Nov. 11, to compete in a majorette stand battle competition and received second place in the Stand Battle category. Captain Shamyra Robinson and co-captain Riyanna Norman won the Best Dancer award, and team members Na’Kia Branham and Tatiana Hamilton also competed.
