Last month, the city of Niagara Falls introduced a $558,000 Bridge District Small Project Fund. The city received funding from New York State’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) to support the program.
Property owners within the Bridge District DRI boundary are eligible to apply for up to $100,000 to fund exterior and interior building renovations. Residential rehabilitation of upper stories may be granted an additional $10,000 per dwelling unit, up to $150,000 (maximum). A 50% match is required for projects.
