Update: National Fuel said less than 10 homes remain without gas service as of 9:40 a.m. Tuesday.
About 40 homes in the LaSalle area remain without gas service early Tuesday morning following Monday’s accident involving a utility line.
National Fuel officials said crews worked through the night to repair a natural gas pipeline struck and damaged by a private contractor.
‘Sizable’ outage impacts National Fuel customers in LaSalle
Approximately 40 homes remain without gas service this morning as National Fuel crews worked through the night to repair a damaged utility line. Work continues to get all customers back in service.
At the height of the outage, about 185 residences were without natural gas service, according to National Fuel.
The outage is impacted the streets of Cayuga Drive, N. Military Road, Jacob Place, Bollier Avenue, 85th Street, 86th Street and 87th Street.
An overnight warming shelter was set up by the American Red Cross at the John Duke Senior Center Monday night for city residents impacted by the outage.
