On Thursday morning, Dec. 7, the joyous and nostalgic sounds of the coming holiday season will resound from the Cumberland Room at the At Circle Public Library. The public is invited to share in the good time anticipated at the December annual meeting of the Friends of the Library, as the Cumberland County Playhouse entertains with holiday song.
Delicious refreshments will be on hand while the business meeting is held. The work of the many volunteers of the organization will be applauded, and votes for the 2024 Executive Board and 2024 budget will be taken. There will be a presentation of the FOL’s donation of $3,000 to the Imagination Library, a valuable nationwide organization encouraging young children to read, begun by Tennessee’s own Dolly Parton.
The good cheer and fellowship, beginning with a half hour social time at 9:30, will celebrate another successful year of the Friends of the Library supporting one of the community’s treasures, the library. Both the Playhouse and the library are among some of the best loved and well used venues in Cumberland County.
