Students at Gloucester High School had their annual Gloucester High School pre-Thanksgiving Day pep rally in the gym on Wednesday.
The Gloucester Fishermen have taken on Danvers on Thanksgiving since 1964. The pep rallies to rev up the players must help — Gloucester leads in Thanksgiving play, 36-22.
On Wednesday, there was plenty of cheering, turkey hats and suits, and some pie throwing.
Freshman A.J. Lewis won the chance to smash a pie into math teacher Geoffrey Kennedy’s face as part of a fundraising effort to raise money for the freshman class.
