GIBSON CITY — The Hoopeston Area boys basketball team lost their first game of the season on Monday with a 75-31 loss to Prairie Central in the Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Thanksgiving Tournament.
Wyatt Eisenmann had nine points and six rebounds for the Cornjerkers, while Owen Root had seven points, Dylan Judy had six and Trenton Montez added four.
The Cornjerkers will try to regroup on Wednesday against Fisher in tournament play.
