THOMASVILLE- The Thomasville Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) installed new officers at the May meeting. Chapter Regent Charlotte Brown introduced Mary King Givens, Registrar of the Barnard Trail Chapter, NSDAR who installed the new chapter officers for the 2023-2025 term using a sweet installation ceremony. After administering the oath of office, Givens presented each officer with a candy bar or chocolate candy which symbolized the duties of the office for which they will serve. The new officers for the Thomasville Chapter, NSDAR are Regent Shelba Sellers, Vice Regent Michelle Kimbler, Chaplain Drucilla Bennett, Recording Secretary Marcianne Benton, Corresponding Secretary Mary Margaret Quiggle, Treasurer Linda Solana, Registrar Pamela Tucker, Historian Charlotte Brown and Librarian Hannah Jaspert.
After the installation ceremony, outgoing Regent Charlotte Brown presented incoming Regent Shelba Sellers with the Thomasville Chapter, NSDAR Chapter Regent Pin and Gavel. New Regent Shelba Sellers presented the past Chapter Regent Pin to outgoing Regent Charlotte Brown and thanked Brown for her service as Regent.
