• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested and charged with more than 10 vehicle and traffic law violations and a felony and misdemeanor after police said she led them on a slow-speed chase throughout the city at 2:27 a.m. Friday. Shavonna M. Jordan, 37, 3326 Church St., was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, third-degree fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, impeding traffic, failure to yield the right of way to an emergency vehicle, moving from lane unsafely, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, unsafe backing, wrong way on a one-way road, driving in the center lane, improper passing, first-degree operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, reckless driving, and violating a traffic control device. Officers said Jordan twice ran into police patrol vehicles as they attempted to stop her and had to be forcibly taken into custody when she was stopped.
• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested after police said she led them on a slow-speed chase through the South End that ended in a vehicle crash at 11:20 a.m. Sunday. Diane Marie Rodriguez, 35, 1048 Centre Ave., was charged with failure to yield the right of way to an emergency vehicle, moving from lane unsafely, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, no vehicle registration, no vehicle insurance and no driver’s license.
• ARREST: A Grand Island man was arrested by Falls police, after he fought with officers who were assisting a Niagara County Sheriff’s deputy in the 1500 block of Military Road at 6:41 p.m. Friday. The 44-year-old man was charged with resisting arrest. Officers said they were taking him into custody on a shoplifting charge, at the request of the deputy, when the suspect began to fight with them.
• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after police said he fought with them as they investigated a report of a “man with a knife” in the 8700 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard at 2:20 a.m. Sunday. The 42-year-old man was charged with resisting arrest and second-degree obstructing governmental administration.
• ARREST: A Cheektowaga woman was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 7400 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard at 6 p.m. Friday. The 22-year-old woman was charged with petit larceny. She is accused of taking more than $536 in merchandise without paying for the items.
