Dominant defense and a balanced offense helped the Cooperstown girls basketball team defeat Frankfort-Schuyler 46-26 at home on Tuesday.
While Cooperstown didn’t have anyone score in double-figures, six different players scored at least five points in the win.
Mia Kaltenbach and Katie Crippen each scored nine points with Crippen adding five rebounds and four steals.
Emma Johnson had eight points and 10 rebounds while Brenna Seamon pulled down 11 rebounds to go with five points.
Cooperstown (8-3) will host Waterville on Thursday.
Edmeston/Morris 66, Sharon Springs 24
Edmeston/Morris topped Sharon Springs 66-24 at home on Tuesday for a Tri-Valley League victory.
Brenna Bolton was outstanding in the win, scoring a game-high 30 points for E/M. Sophie Robinson and Amira Ross added 11 and 8 points, respectively.
For Sharon Springs, Zarie Barbic netted 12 points.
E/M (6-3) will visit Laurens/Milford on Thursday while Sharon Springs (2-3) will host Schenevus the same day.
Franklin 57, Worcester 30
Franklin shut down Worcester for a 57-30 home win on Tuesday in Tri-Valley League action.
Shannon Kingsbury led the Purple Devils with 22 points while Riley McNamara also finished in double-figures with 16 points.
Delana Baldwin-Rhodes was Worcester’s top scorer with 16 points.
Franklin (5-4) will be at Cherry Valley-Springfield on Thursday while Worcester (1-8) will host Margaretville on Friday.
Susquehanna Valley 50, Oneonta 31
Oneonta dropped a 50-31 road decision to Susquehanna Valley on Tuesday.
Selene Wellman led the Yellowjackets with 12 points while Kylie Carr added eight points in the loss.
Oneonta (4-3) will host Norwich on Friday.

Cooperstown 72, Westmoreland 22
The Cooperstown boys rolled to a 72-22 win over Westmoreland on Tuesday to improve to 9-0 on the season.
Miles Nelen hit four of the team’s nine three-pointers for a game-high 22 points. Cooper Bradley, meanwhile, had a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds and Christian Lawson and Cooper Coleman each scored eight points.
The Hawkeyes will visit New York Mills on Friday.
Margaretville 78, Hunter-Tannersville 37
Margaretville downed Hunter-Tannersville 78-37 in Delaware League play on Tuesday.
Connor Wayman and Hunter Balcom led the Blue Devils’ offense with 25 and 21 points, respectively. Ryan Sanford was also in double-digits with 11 points.
Grady Maul was H-T’s top scorer with nine points and Chase Zimmer grabbed 17 rebounds to go with seven points.
Margaretville improves to 6-2 while H-T drops to 1-8.
Bainbridge-Guilford 59, Susquehanna Valley 40 (Monday)
Bainbridge-Guilford rallied from a slow start to defeat Susquehanna Valley 59-40 in a non-league contest on Monday.
After trailing by nine after the first quarter, the Bobcats tied the game at 21-21 at halftime and pulled away in the second half.
Declyn Marshfield led the way with 19 points while Michael Lipani followed close behind with 18 points.
B-G (6-3) will host Unadilla Valley on Thursday.
