BISMARCK — The Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin boys basketball team continued to dominate the BHRA/Heritage boys basketball tournament.
The Blue Devils had a slow start, but was able to slow down Armstrong-Potomac late to get a 71-46 win and win their fourth straight tournament title and fifth in six years.
Micah Stanford and Chaz Dubois each had 17 points for BHRA with Stanford winning tournament MVP honors. Keison Peoples had 12 points and was named to the all-tournament team, while Anderson Thomas had 10 and Caden Keleminic added eight.
James Huisinga had 14 points and was also named to the all-tournament team for the Trojans, while Bowen Hesterberg had 11, Luke Townsend scored 10 and Ryan Edwards added six.
In the third place game, Salt Fork was down early and could not recover in a 64-34 loss to Indianapolis’ Phalen Academy. Ian Keller had 11 points to lead the Storm, while Gavin Holmes had 10 points and Grant Wilson added seven points.
Providence Christo Rey beat Mount Pulaski 62-55 for fifth place, while Irvington Prep beat Heritage 67-62 for seventh.
In the ninth-place game, Milford beat Georgetown-Ridge Farm 46-33. Caleb Clutteur had 21 points for the Bearcats, while Hixon Lafond and Jack VanHoveln each had eight and Tyler Runner added seven.
