Crossville City Council swore in its new members, Dr. Mark Fox and James Mayberry, at city hall Monday evening.
Fox and Mayberry won with 1,823 and 1,542 votes respectively. They replace Councilman Scot Shanks and Mayor Pro Tempore Rob Harrison.
Municipal Court Judge Tiffany Adams swore in both candidates while several dozen community members watched.
“I vow to be a good steward of the taxpayer’s money and to do what’s best for the community to the best of my abilities,” Mayberry said.
“I’m going to work for everyone, whether I was someone that was voted for by you, I promise to work diligently for you,” Fox said.
Fox and Mayberry began serving immediately. Both men were present at Tuesday’s work session.
