The Creative Arts Guild is pleased to offer the Mistletoe Market again this season.
The market gives local artists and makers the opportunity to sell their goods, just in time for holiday shopping. At the Guild at 520 W. Waugh St. in Dalton, the market will be open from noon on Friday, Dec. 6, through 6 p.m. and then open again on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m, to noon.
Round out your gift list with beautiful one-of-a-kind items while supporting working artists. There will be hand-crafted goods like jewelry, ceramics, decor and more. Vendors include A Mindful Yarn, AB Undique, Anādi Permanent Jewelry, Blessed Boutique, Charlsey Etheridge, Dancing Dragon Designs, Hair2dayyarntomorrow, Melissa Herz, Handmade By Hipple, Isabel’s Pottery, JD Prints, Allison Lance, Linda Norman Designs, Lou Lou Pottery, Moonflower Art Studio, Paleo Plectrums & Woodwork, PepperJack Designs, Scenic Photo Prints, Song of a Sparrow, The Art Farm and The Rosie Corner.
Christkindlmarkt
Brookwood School’s Christkindlmarkt will also be selling crafts handmade by kindergarten through grade 5 German Immersion students from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, and Saturday, Dec. 7, until noon. The funds raised from the Christkindlmarkt will go to support the Dual Language Immersion German classrooms at Brookwood. Students from Dalton Public Schools’ and Whitfield County Schools’ transition academies will also be selling crafts they have handmade in their classes here at the Guild.
Current gallery shows
Plan to come early and shop the Mistletoe Market but also save some time to check out the Guild’s ongoing exhibits, “Mindful” in Gallery FIVE20 featuring works by Aimee Maschhoff and Renel Plouffe, and “Am I Here?” in Gallery ONE11, an exhibit by artist Jill Pope. These exhibits will be on display until Dec. 18.
The market and exhibits are open to the public. Light refreshments will be available plus wine and beer for purchase. For more information, contact Guild Gallery Director David George at (706) 278-0168 or davidg@creativeartsguild.org.
