Calling all World War II veteran families: Now is your chance to honor your family’s World War II hero. The curators of the upcoming multimedia immersive exhibit “The Secret Weapons of WWII” are looking for military service memorabilia from local veterans to be featured in the Lockport Goes to War room.
“We want to honor the local men and women who served so bravely during this dark time in world history,” exhibit co-chair Ellen Martin said.
“Letters, photos, dog tags, helmets or any other special item from veterans’ families would add immensely to the impact of the exhibit,” co-chair Mary Brennan-Taylor added.
Anyone interested in lending items for display is encouraged to call the Kenan Center at 716-433-2617 and leave a message for Brennan-Taylor.
Sponsored by the Lockport Public Arts Council, the exhibit will be in progress January 4 through March 31 at the Kenan Center.
