PLATTSBURGH — State Assemblyman D. Billy Jones has made the City & State’s 2024 Upstate Power 100 List.
Jones (D-Chateaugay Lake) recently was named number 56 on City & State’s 2024 Upstate Power 100 list.
This list is released annually highlighting leaders from across Upstate New York who are “making a difference in their communities.”
City & State described Jones as “the Assembly’s Ambassador to Canada,” highlighting his role as chair of the New York State Assembly’s Task Force on New York-Canada Relations, including his trip to Ottawa and Montreal last year.
“This is a tremendous honor,” Jones said.
“Since I was elected eight years ago, I have worked diligently to advocate for the North Country and make sure that we are not forgotten in Albany. Being named 56 on City & State’s Upstate Power 100 is a testament to my efforts to represent our region to make sure that we have the resources we need.”
OTHER HONOREES
Ashley Walden, President and CEO of the Olympic Regional Development Authority, was also included on the list at number 85.
Jones, a former correction officer and chairman of the Franklin County Legislature, was first elected to the Assembly in 2016. He has since been re-elected in 2018, 2020, 2022 and again just last week.
