KASOTA — A 52-year-old Mankato man suffered life-threatening injuries in a motorcycle-pickup crash Sunday afternoon near Kasota.
Michael Wayne Sandersfeld was riding a Honda north on Highway 22 at 12:36 p.m. when the motorcycle and a GMC Sierra that was westbound on Le Sueur County Road 21 crashed in the roads’ intersection, the State Patrol said.
Sandersfeld was transported from the accident scene to River’s Edge Hospital in St. Peter, the patrol said.
The driver of the pickup, James John Jakes, 49, of Montgomery, was not injured.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Road conditions were dry.
