A suspect wanted in a recent shooting in Meridian was captured Thursday in Arizona, according to Meridian Police Department.
David Alexander, 32, is wanted in connection with a shooting in the 2500 block of 36th Street around 5:51 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, that sent two people to the hospital. One of the victims had injuries not considered life threatening, while the other was airlifted to Jackson.
In a news release, MPD announced Alexander was captured by U.S. Marshals in Tucson, Arizona around 12:30 p.m. local time, or 2:30 p.m. in Meridian, at a Greyhound bus station.
The shooting continues to be an active and ongoing investigation, MPD said.
