MONTEZUMA, Ind. — The North Vermillion football team was held scoreless in the first half against Riverton Parke on Friday.
But the Falcons would rebound to tie the game at 13-13 at the end of regulation and would get the win on a 12-yard run by Matthew Dawson for a 19-13 win.
Derek Collum and Kyle Price scored on runs in the first half for a 13-0 Panther lead, but the Falcons would battle back with big runs of their own.
Andrew Botner had an 11-yard run in the third quarter and a 50-yard run later in the quarter to tie the game.
Botner would end up with 238 yards and two touchdowns, while Dawson passed for 55 yards. Ian Griffin had seven tackles for North Vermillion, while Brody Cramer had 6 and a half tackles with a sack, Quinton Holt had 4 and a half tackles with one and a half sacks and Teegan Dowers had an interception.
The Falcons are now 4-1 overall and 2-1 in the Wabash River Conference and will take on Attica next week.
