CATLIN — The Salt Fork football team jumped out to a 32-0 first quarter lead and a 45-0 lead en route to a 45-13 win over Iroquois West on Friday.
The Storm got started early with a 68-yard touchdown pass from Jameson Remole to Grant Wilson just 19 seconds into the game. Ian Church had a 34-yard run just 1:31 after that, Remole ran for a 28-yard run, Wilson returned a punt 56 yards for a score and Remole ran for a five-yard run to end the scoring in the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Remole returned an interception 37 yards for a score and Payton Hageman had a 58-yard touchdown run to end the scoring for the Storm.
Remole completed all four of his passes for 106 yards and ran for 38 yards, while Wilson had his catch for 68 yards, Kam Keller had a catch for 24 yards and Julien Baum had two catches for 14 yards.
Carter Chambliss had 12 tackles, while Remole had 11, Jamison Chambliss had eight and Wilson had seven.
The Storm are 3-0 overall and in the Vermilion Valley Conference and will travel to Watseka on Friday.
