The Oneonta boys soccer team came up with a dominant performance in its home opener on Monday, routing Waverly 7-1.
Matthew Rubin led the way for the Yellowjackets with four goals and an assist while Luca Rubin provided four assists in the win.
Darren Rose, Andrew Brechner and Nikolas Iannelli each had goals and Aiden Wamsley added an assist.
Oneonta (2-0) will host Chenango Valley on Wednesday.
Unatego/Franklin 4, Worcester 1
Jacob Kingsbury led Unatego/Franklin to a 4-1 home victory over Worcester on Monday.
Kingsbury scored all four goals for U/F, three of them coming in the first half. Alen Ibrahimovic added an assist.
Conner Land scored Worcester’s only goal of the game.
Calvin Butts and Reece Wilson had five and three saves, respectively, for U/F. Worcester’s Matt Sanders finished with five stops.
U/F (3-0) will visit Schenevus on Thursday while Worcester will also face Schenevus on Tuesday.
Clinton 2, Cooperstown 1 OT
Cooperstown fell in overtime to Clinton 2-1 on Monday.
After Clinton opened the scoring midway through the second half, Cooper Bradley tied it up for Cooperstown just four minutes later.
Clinton scored the winner with 40 seconds left in overtime after the Hawkeyes failed to clear a goalmouth scramble.
Cooper Coleman finished with nine saves in the loss.
Cooperstown (1-1) will host Herkimer on Friday.
Laurens/Milford 5, Gilboa/Roxbury 3 (Saturday)
Laurens/Milford took down Gilboa/Roxbury 5-3 in the Stamford Mayor’s Cup on Saturday.
Aidan Mertz scored twice in the win for L/M while Christian Lawson, Alan Illescas and Landon each had a goal apiece.
Roni Grieco scored twice for G/R and Burton Strauch added the third tally.
Tyler March made five saves for L/M while Blake Albano had one for G/R.
Cherry Valley-Springfield/Sharon Springs 5, OESJ 2 (Saturday)
Cherry Valley-Springfield/Sharon Springs earned a 5-2 non-league win on the road over OESJ on Saturday.
Kris Cade scored twice and added an assist while Mason Kutinsky, Michael Cashman and Aidan Bosc had goals of their own.
CV-S/SS will visit Hunter-Tannersville on Tuesday.
