DARFUR — A 68-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries when the motorcycle she was a passenger on collided with a vehicle in northwest Watonwan County Saturday afternoon.
Leslie Gail Makovski of Jeffers was hospitalized in St. James following the 2:55 p.m. crash near the intersection of Highway 30 and County Road 5 just east of Darfur.
Makovski was a passenger on an eastbound 2012 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic Electra Glide driven by Ronald Ray Willard, 61, of Jeffers when the motorcycle and an eastbound 1997 Oldsmobile 88 collided, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Willard was also transported to the St. James hospital, although with non-life-threatening injuries. Both Makovski and Willard were wearing helmets.
The driver of the Oldsmobile — Tawnia Kae Jacob, 39, of Chandler — was not injured.
