The City of Danville is hosting a public input session to discuss the future of Garfield Park.
The public session will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 4, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Danville Aquatic Center at Garfield Park, 1112 Industrial.
In an effort to continue the Garfield Park Revitalization Project, the City of Danville is seeking funding for recreational improvements through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) Open Space Lands Acquisition & Development (OSLAD) Grant Program.
The session will feature a discussion facilitated by the City of Danville and Farnsworth Group, who will provide an overview of the grant’s objectives and the City’s long-term vision for the park. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, provide feedback, and engage in a discussion about the future of Garfield Park.
If you are unable to attend, the city is asking individuals to take the time to fill out a short questionnaire: Garfield Park
Revitalization Survey, at https://forms.gle/agPkm7UVDcac5Apm7.
