GROVELAND — The Groveland Police Department and Langley Adams Library are hosting a vehicle night for the community on Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Langley Adams Library/Town Hall parking lot, 185 Main St.
This free event will feature a variety of town vehicles for community members to enjoy and explore including police cruisers, fire trucks, ambulances, school buses, postal trucks, race cars, limos, taxis, tractors, bucket trucks, diggers, a Coast Guard rescue boat, tow trucks, a helicopter, and more. There will also be a demonstration from Amesbury police K-9 Officer Thomas Nichols and his furry partner, Meatball.
Parking is available behind the police station, 181 Main St., or at the Pines Recreation area.
This event is an opportunity to foster relationships and establish partnerships between public safety town officials and the public.
“This great community event allows people of all ages to come out and have a hands-on experience with various vehicles,” Groveland police Chief Jeffrey Gillen said. “Visitors can talk with the vehicle operators and learn more about what they do and how the vehicles are used.”
