VALDOSTA — In response to the recent storm that impacted the area earlier this month, the City of Valdosta’s Yard Trash Division will be extending its hours to accommodate the increased demand for waste collection and debris removal.
Beginning this week, the sanitation department will operate with extended hours to ensure timely service for all residents, the city said in a press release.
“Following the recent storm, our team is dedicated to addressing the needs of our residents as quickly and efficiently as possible,” said Public Works Director Larry Ogden. “By extending our hours, we aim to manage the increased volume of debris and ensure that all areas of the city are serviced promptly.”
Residents are encouraged to place their waste and debris at the curb according to the city’s guidelines and be mindful of the extended hours to ensure their items are collected.
