Murray County 7, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe 6
An Annabelle Ingle walk-off single lifted Murray County (6-1) to a 7-6 win over Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe (3-3) Thursday night.
LFO scored four runs in the fifth to tie the game at 6-6. The game remained tied until Ingle’s hit to right field in the bottom of the seventh that scored Charlsey Richards.
Richards went 3-for-4 and hit a two-run homer. Brayleigh Amos doubled and had a pair of RBIs.
Murray plays at North Cobb Christian Monday at 5:30 p.m.
North Murray 7, North Cobb Christian 4
North Murray (2-6) defeated North Cobb Christian (3-2) 7-4 Thursday.
After scoring five runs across the first two innings, North Murray scored a pair of runs in the sixth to hold off a North Cobb comeback.
Kaitlyn Malone had a double and three RBIs, while Jaylen Jones had a triple. Kylie Corbin had a pair of RBIs.
Jazmyn Wright pitched all seven innings, allowing six hits.
North Murray plays Armuchee on Saturday.
Sonoraville 9, Coahulla Creek 0
Coahulla Creek (5-1) took its first loss of the season, falling 9-0 to Sonoraville (5-3) on Thursday.
Creek was held to four hits as Sonoraville pulled away with six runs over the fifth and sixth innings.
Caroline Reed and Nora Milam both doubled, but the Lady Colts couldn’t convert any to runs.
Creek plays again on Saturday against Paulding County and Gilmer.
LaFayette 4, Northwest 0
Northwest Whitfield (3-7) dropped 4-0 to undefeated LaFayette (7-0) Thursday.
The Lady Bruins were held without a hit in the game.
Northwest plays Heritage on Monday at 5:55 p.m.
Woodland 16, Dalton 12
Dalton (1-5) dropped a high-scoring game to Woodland (1-4) 16-12 Thursday.
Dalton led 8-7 after four innings, but Woodland scored six in the fifth and three in the sixth to pull away.
For Dalton, Kaylee Tatum homered and drove in two runs. Ella Hill and Kailyn Anderson each doubled, and Hill brought in a pair of runs. Nayeli Olvera went 4-for-5 and had a pair of RBIs, and Halo Thomas went 3-for-4.
Tatum pitched all seven innings, striking out nine.
Dalton plays at Southeast Whitfield Monday at 5:30 p.m.
Cartersville 12, Southeast Whitfield 0
Southeast Whitfield (0-7) fell 12-0 to Cartersville (6-2) Thursday night.
The Lady Raiders had four hits, and the game ended after five innings.
