THOMASVILLE- Thomas County Fire Rescue in combined efforts with Thomasville Fire Rescue extinguished a structure fire on Saturday on North Pinetree Boulevard.
Thomas County Fire Rescue Assistant Fire Chief Bob Duthoy said the fire started early that morning on the porch of the home, with minimal damage inside the home.
“There was a little smoke and fire damage, but it didn’t extend beyond that,” Duthoy said.
It is currently unknown what caused the fire, but Duthoy said they have called upon an investigator and are awaiting results.
Duthoy appreciated the willingness of both the county and city to teams to tackle the fire.
“It was a good job by all,” he said. “It was a quick knockdown of stopping the fire.”
