Summer will officially arrive in Youngstown this week as the Youngstown Business and Professional Association puts on its 14th annual Street Dance and Car Cruise tonight.
The festivities will line up Main and Hinman Streets in the village, with the classic cars set up along Hinman Street and any spillover going onto Main Street. Participating cars do not have to pay a fee and will receive a commemorative car magnet.
“There will be something for everybody — young or old and in between,” a release for the event stated. “There’s been a lot of behind the scenes work to make this a most memorable event.”
Among the entertainment offered is the Thurman Brother’s Band performing at the Hill of Beans Coffee shop, Lakeside Quarterhorses will be offering pony rides, Kudel put together a Children’s Corners, and Donuts D Clown from Niagara Clown Alley will appear.
The Great Foodini food truck will return, Youngstown Marketside will celebrate two years in business, Petey’s Treats will celebrate one year in business, and Anchor Spirits will be giving out beach balls. All local businesses will be open during the event, which runs from 6 to 10 p.m.
