GROVELAND — Police Chief Jeffrey Gillen announced the town has two new officers.
Officer Jillian Terry and Officer Lucas Purpora were welcomed as the newest members of the Groveland Police Department on May 3 after graduating from the Northern Essex Community College Police Academy. Terry and Purpora are now certified full-time officers under the Municipal Police Training Committee Standards, Gillen said.
Terry is a Groveland resident and obtained a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Saint Leo University in St. Leo, Florida.
Purpora is from Dracut and received a bachelor’s degree in general management from Bridgewater State University.
“We are pleased to welcome Officer Terry and Officer Purpora to the Groveland Police Department, and I am proud of their hard work at the academy,” Gillen said.
“I am excited to watch Officer Terry and Officer Purpora grow in their roles and careers here in Groveland.”
