SOFTBALL
Peabody 6, Marblehead 0: Senior captain Abby Bettencourt fired a no-hitter with 11 strikeouts, breaking the Tanners’ all-time program record for career K’s in the process by surpassing Tianna Dawe’s previous record of 612. Bettencourt allowed just one baserunner on a hit batsman and also went 3-for-3 and scored three runs and captain Logan Lomasney had two hits and two RBI while Kiley Doolin and Kaylee DiNicola hit home runs to power Peabody (6-2).
In the circle for Marblehead (7-2), Tessa Francis racked up 11 strikeouts while scattering 10 hits.
Beverly 8, Saugus 2: Five different Panthers (now 8-2) drove home a run as Meredith Johnston went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI and Jane Foley was 1-for-3. Gabbi Wickeri and Jasmine Feliciano combined on the hill for the win, scattering six hits without allowing an earned run.
Lynnfield 15, Ipswich 3: Cairo Teheen, Thalia McNamara and Liz Marsella all knocked in runs for the Tigers, who saw Annabel Morris strike out four hitters.
Danvers 16, Swampscott 8: Addi McCarty hit her first homer of the year, going 3-for-4 with two doubles four RBI, and Briley Keezer also blasted one out of the park with three RBI to lead a 15 hit attack by Danvers (6-3). Bree Robinson had three hits, Ava Gray had three hits and three RBI and Skylar Coakley drove home three runs while also pitching the last 2 1/2 innings.
Olivia Barletta went 3-for-4 for the Big Blue (3-4), Lauryn Fahey was 4-for-4 and Hayden Haskell and Melanie Blood had two hits each.
Essex Tech 13, Hamilton-Wenham 3: For the Generals, Bella Fazio clubbed a pair of doubles and Sydney Smith had a 3-for-3 day.
Bishop Fenwick 3, Archbishop Williams 2: Gigi Aupont’s two-out walkoff RBI single gave the Crusaders a dramatic extra innings win. Aupont pitched all 10 innings as well, striking out 16 while allowing just four hits. Sophia Longo was 1-for-3 with an RBI; Lola Amndolare had the tying RBI in the fifth, and Val Tate had a triple.
BASEBALL
Danvers 5, Salem 4: Mike Moroney launched a 2-run bomb in the top of the seventh to put Danvers (3-5) ahead and then polished off his nine strikeout complete game victory in the bottom half. Chase Richmond, Beckett Wodarski (two runs) and John Curcuru also had hits for Danvers.
Salem (4-5) fell behind 3-0 but rallied to take a 4-3 lead with Shea Christel getting two hits and Kevin Soto driving home a run. Jordan O’Malley hit a double and fanned six over six innings.
Swampscott 5, Beverly 4: Junior Nick Berube hit a solo homer to tie the game and the Big Blue (6-4) went on to victory at home as Quinn Fitzpatrick put down eight in a row to earn a save. Zach Alex earned the win while Frankie Pappalardo and Caden Ross each had two hits with an RBI. Danny Pierce hit a solo homer in the first for Beverly (3-8), Charlie Salerno had two hits and Mike Giello drove home a pair.
St. John’s Shrewsbury 8, St. John’s Prep 2: Will Shaheen had two of the Prep’s three hits on the day while Christian Rosa also hit safely and drove home a run. Shaheen also threw the last two frames and allowed no baserunners for the Eagles (4-6).
Pingree 11, Bancroft 0: Mateus Feck had two hits and two RBI while Max Gaudin scored three times and drove in two more to help the Highlanders improve to 7-2. Cole Piaseczynski, Cam Anderson, Tyler Boviard, Max Gaudin, Cole Perkin, and Avery Sheets all added hits for the winners.
Marblehead 7, Saugus 4: Bodie Bartram hit a triple with two RBI and Riley Schmitt hit two doubles as the Magicians (6-4) won a rare game at Stackpole Field. Carter Sahagian came on for the last 3 1/3 and earned the win while Chris Cannuscio, Charlie Sachs and Brooks Keefe collected RBI.
Masconomet 12, Winthrop 2: Tyler Feldberg drove home five runs on three hits and the Chieftains (8-2) busted back into the win column. Drew Gustafson also collected three RBI, Ryan Corcoran had two RBI and scored twice and senior lefty Paul Donnelly earned his fifth win of the year.
Bishop Fenwick 5, Archbishop Williams 1: Timmy Ronningen fired 6 2/3 innings and allowed only five hits and the Crusaders evened their record at 5-5. Leading the way offensively were Odin Garron (double, two RBI), Chris D’Angelo (two hits, RBI) and Henry Vanfassen (two hits, run).
GIRLS TRACK
Ipswich 77, Hamilton-Wenham 66: By capturing 10 events, the Tigers completed the regular season as Cape Ann League Baker champions. Stella Whitten (400 hurdles), Alana Novello (100 hurdles), Bree Doucet (shot put), Brooke Bodwell (discus), Keira Cox (javelin), Izzy Greenlea (high jump), Kameya Perron (pole vault), Bella Bruno (triple jump), Una Whyte (100) and the 4X400 relay team of Whitten, Soren Shearer, Amelia Mooradd and Lily Harper were all first place finishers.
Georgia Wilson was her usual dominant self for Hamilton-Wenham, finishing first in the long jump, 400 and 200. Freshman Grace Rich added victories in the 800 and mile, while fellow ninth grader Asa Labell won the 2-mile. The Generals also won the 4×100 medley relay.
Essex Tech 79.5, Pentucket 56.5: On Senior Day, the Hawks earned their first win as a Cape Ann League program as Nora Kisiel set a new school record by winning the 200 (26.92) and also taking the 100 (13.01). Maci Abbatessa had a big PR in winning the discus (105-8), with Olivia Feudo winning the 440 low hurdles (1:14.77) and PR’ing in the 400 (1:02.95). Brooke Medico added a PR in the triple jump (32-8) to take first place.
BOYS TRACK
Ipswich 73, Hamilton-Wenham 70: Ange Tshimbambe won the 400 hurdles, high jump and 110 hurdles to help the Tigers to the first win. Pace Capone (shot put and 200) and Mossimo Pinsky (long jump and 100 meters) each won two events for IHS, with Peter Joss-Green topping the field in the 400 and the 4X100 relay of Matt Merry, Wyatt King, James Dick, and Peter Joss-Green also prevailing.
Ben Rich had wins in the 800 and 2-mile for Hamilton-Wenham, with freshman Jacob Collins also a double winner in the discus and javelin. Teammates James Regan (mile), McLaren Cook (pole vault) and the 400 meter relay team also secured wins.
Beverly 103, Gloucester 33: Harry Silva (400 hurdles, long jump) and Ray Kwiatek (100 and 200) each won two events to push the Panthers to another win. Scott Kwiatek, Ray’s cousin, won the javelin, with Riley McGoldrick (2-mile), Calvin Barrett, Leo Sheriff (110 hurdles), and both Xavier Aux ands Anthony Rust (tied in the high jump) also earning firsts.
Pentucket 104, Essex Tech 32: Jeff Madruga (800, 2:18), Tom Fogarty (mile, 5:09.14), Tim Eagan (pole vault, 8-6) and Chris Cunha (2-mile, 10:40) were all winners for the Hawks, with Paul Danehy earning a PR in the discus at 123-1.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Cambridge 3, St. John’s Prep 1: Michael Wagner (14 kills), Tighe Lusk (hit .438) and Grant Magnuson (22 digs) led the Eagles in a tough 21-25, 25-21, 23-25, 20-25 defeat.
BOYS LACROSSE
Marblehead 15, Danvers 3: Freshman Will Sullivan’s hat trick led the way as the Magicians (7-2) won their sixth straight. Charlie Grenier (2 assists), James Achterhof (assist), Greg Motorny (assist) and Cam Waldman each scored twice, with single goals from Reece Moore (2 assists), Jack Whipple, Grady Becker (first career goal), Drew Nelson and Gio Garibotto. Thomas Tadesse earned his first point on an assist. Finn Gallup (4 saves) and Colin Maniaci (2 saves) each played well in net.
Brady Tersolo had a goal and an assist for the Falcons (2-9), with Connor Harvey and Cooper Dunham also scoring and Cam Lacroix-Hiltz adding an assist. Ryan Rogers (10 saves) and Lincoln Smith (2 saves) both played in net, and Evan Roach won a dozen faceoffs.
Pingree 7, Cushing 6 (OT): Despite two goals and two assists from Bodie Cannata and another two goals plus one helper from Sean Stevens, the Highlanders fell to 6-6. Jake Hiltz had the other two goals, Dylan Feeks and Quinn Donovan both had assists, and goalie Max Becker made seven saves.
Pentucket 17, Hamilton-Wenham 4: Attackmen Will Stinson and Billy Brown each had a goal, with middies Anthony Folger and Charlie Convey for the Generals.
Lynnfield 15, Bishop Fenwick 7: The Crusaders fell to 7-3.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Waring 10, Boston Trinity 3: Lyda Simpson had three goals while Eliza Loring and Dahlia Beltramini had two each to lead the Wolfpack (now 3-2). Mikalia Bennett, Ellie Miller and Natalia Ellis each had one goal, Loring and Beltramini each had an assist, and goalie Sophia Vaca had nine saves.
Pentucket 13, Hamilton-Wenham 12 (OT): Evie Bernard (6 goals, 15 draw controls) sparked the offense for H-W in an exciting contest. Laura Sabo (assist) and Maisie Leland each scored twice, while Avery Nistl and Grace Glidden (assist) had one apiece.
GIRLS TENNIS
Danvers 5, Winthrop 0: The Falcons improved to 8-0 as Madison Savage and Sophie Sanidas didn’t lose a game in first or second singles while Josie Vogel rolled (6-0, 6-1) at No. 3. Raina Langlois and Cali Coffin (6-2, 6-3) won at first singles, with the second doubles tandem of Kelly Huyuh and Molly Verhoosky also winning (6-1, 6-1).
Beverly 3, Swampscott 2: Elina Savoia made her singles debut a successful one, winning 6-2, 6-0 in straight sets for the Panthers (now 5-2). Grace Adams also won in straight sets (6-3, 6-3), while Clea Shumria and Ella McAleer’s 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 decision at first doubles gave Beverly the victory.
Swampscott got wins from Anna Eccles (7-5, 3-6, 6-1) at first singles, as well as the second doubles team of Ava and Alexia O’Donnell (6-2, 6-0).
Marblehead 5, Gloucester 0: The Magicians (4-3) won their third straight match as Aviva Bornsteins collected a default victory at first singles while Sami Dosch and Nina Johnson each won 6-0, 6-0 at Nos. 2 and 3. Reese Friedman and Lani Gilmore (6-1, 6-1) and Caroline Bruett and Sarah Munroe (6-1, 6-0) scored doubles triumphs.
BOYS TENNIS
St. John’s Prep 5, Xaverian 0: John DeAngelis (6-1, 6-4), Jack Prokopis (6-0, 6-1) and Luke Free (6-0, 6-0) were singles winners for the unbeaten Eagles (now 8-0), with Luke Prokopis and Boris Kouzminov (6-0, 6-0) and Mark McDuffee and Alex Melville (6-0, 6-1) claiming doubles victories.

Endicott 14, Wentworth 11: The Gulls (now 15-1) advanced to the CCC title game on Saturday after getting three goals from Tommy Tyksinski and two apiece from Cam Fernandez, Nick Pagliuso, Nick Graap and Guerin Favreau.
WOMEN’S COLLEGE LACROSSE
Endicott 16, Western New England 5: With the chance to win their 13th conference crown this Saturday, the Gulls () rolled into the title game by racing out to a 9-1 halftime lead and cruising from there. Kiana Napolitano powered the offense with five goals and three assists.
COLLEGE SOFTBALL
Endicott sweeps MIT: With 11-6 and 4-0 victories, the Gulls improved to 23-11. Kristen Beebe threw a two-hit shutout with five strikeouts in the nightcap.
COLLEGE BASEBALL
Endicott 9, MIT 2: TJ Liponis had two hits and drove in two while Charlie Hale allowed just five hits over six innings while striking out four as the top ranked Gulls improved to 35-2.
