MANKATO — A St. Paul man was sentenced to probation Monday in a domestic assault case dating back to an incident in 2022.
Theodus Curran Mitchell Jr., 28, was convicted on a felony domestic assault by strangulation charge Monday in Blue Earth County District Court.
Mitchell was initially charged in August 2022 after a woman accused him of shoving her, hitting her in the mouth and choking her.
His sentence calls for three years on supervised probation and three days in the sentence to service program. He received credit for 78 days served in jail.
