SCC arts show slated today
NORTH MANKATO — South Central College’s Creative Exchange Art Show may be viewed 2:30-5 p.m. today in the SSC Conference Center Wing, 1920 Lee Blvd.
Attendees should enter through Door 15 to attend the event focused on the local art community and raising funds for new equipment for the college’s graphic communications program.
Twenty SCC students will display their works alongside 15 local vendors who will be selling arts and crafts.

MSO plans two finale events
MANKATO — Mankato Symphony Orchestra has scheduled two season finales.
MSO’s Music on the Hill’s season finale concert is 3 p.m. Sunday in Trinity Chapel on the campus of Bethany Lutheran College. The concert will feature cellist Richard Belcher, pianist Bethel Balge, and violinist Natsuki Kumagai. The centerpiece of the program is Antonin Dvorak’s epic Piano Trio in F Minor.
The symphony’s season finale is 7 p.m. May 4 in Minnesota State University’s Ted Paul Theatre and features violinist Rui Du performing the Violin Concerto by Samuel Barber.
General admission is $25 for adults. Tickets for youths age 12 and younger cost $1.

German club sets cemetery tours
NEW ULM — Anyone interested in learning about the German language and culture may attend a Deutscher Sprachklub 1-3 p.m. meeting Sunday at the cafeteria of Martin Luther College.
Members are planning tours of cemeteries north of the Little Cottonwood River near Searles and in Sigel Township, Brown County.

Ensemble plans next concert
LE SUEUR — A program of patriotic tunes along with traditional American spirituals will be performed by The Noteables 4 p.m. April 28 in the auditorium at Le Sueur Henderson Middle/High School Auditorium, 901 Ferry St.
Monetary donations will be accepted.
The Noteables is a community ensemble of singers from Le Sueur, Henderson, Le Center, Belle Plaine and St. Peter. Gordon Gregersen and Annette Meeks direct the group with accompanist Avis McDaniel.
