Relay for Life is an annual event that raises awareness and funding for cancer research while honoring survivors and those who have succumbed to the disease. This year, the theme is “An Era of Hope,” which symbolizes the progress made and the optimism for a future free from the burdens of cancer.
“We extend our sincere appreciation to the community, Relay volunteers, hard working teams and sponsors who have generously contributed to our cause in the past,” said chairperson Helen Allen earlier this year. “Without your unwavering support, Relay For Life would not exist and crucial funds for vital programs aimed at eradicating cancer would be unattainable.
“A cancer diagnosis is devastating, but catching it early provides patients with a much greater chance of survival, avoiding the treatments we all fear. Supporting research is crucial for developing more effective tests and treatments. We must continue to back these efforts for the benefit of future generations.”
All are invited to join in the fight against cancer, celebrate survivors and contribute to the ongoing progress in cancer research. To register a team, donate or learn more, visit www.relayforlife.org/cullmanal or contact Helen Allen at 256-709-4019 or helenma1941@gmail.com.
