Due to the large number of races and questions for the May 21 election, absentee-by-mail voters will receive two sheets of official ballot paper. Together, these two sheets of paper count as the voter’s one ballot.
Below are two important reminders for absentee-by-mail voters:
• When absentee-by-mail voters are marking their selections, the voter needs to look at both sheets of official ballot paper, front and back, to ensure they have reviewed their entire ballot.
• When preparing to return their ballot, absentee-by-mail voters need to be sure to enclose both sheets of official ballot paper so the entire ballot can be properly counted and tabulated.
Whitfield County electors voting in-person during either advanced voting or Election Day voting will have one sheet of official ballot paper, printed front and back, from the Ballot Marking Device. In-person voters are encouraged to review both sides of their printed ballot to ensure the accuracy of the voter’s selection for each race or question before casting their ballot into the ballot scanner.
