RAY CITY — The only financial institution in Ray City is closing.
First Commerce Credit Union, located at 860 Patten St., will cease lobby and drive-through operations April 1, FCCU spokeswoman Kristin Vallese said Thursday.
In a statement, First Commerce said the installation of at ATM at the Ray City branch resulted in half of all transactions there being done through the machine.
“As such, last month, we again invested in an upgraded ATM featuring state-of-the-art technology as a local component of our robust digital, remote and phone banking offerings,” the statement said.
The ATM will remain in service, while in-person banking will be available at First Commerce locations in Nashville, Adel and Valdosta, the credit union said.
Tallahassee-based First Commerce took over the Ray City branch of Nashville-based The Citizens Bank in 2019.
