Editor’s note: The following information is compiled from public records taken from reports from local law enforcement agencies.
• A 35-year-old Dalton man was charged Thursday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession and use of drug-related objects and possession of meth.
• A 24-year-old Chatsworth man was charged Thursday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession and use of drug-related objects and possession of meth.
• A 45-year-old Chatsworth man was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with obstruction of a law enforcement officer and DUI (less safe).
• A 34-year-old Dalton woman was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with DUI (drugs), felony motor vehicle theft (over $1,500), failure to obey a stop sign or to yield after stopping, misdemeanor willful obstruction of law enforcement officers and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
• A 22-year-old Ringgold man was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with aggravated assault (gun), aggravated stalking, DUI, misdemeanor failure to appear and failure to maintain lane.
• A 31-year-old Hampton man was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with violation of the Georgia RICO Act, four counts of first-degree forgery and four counts of misdemeanor theft by deception.
• A 16-year-old Dalton man was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with armed robbery (business, gun).
• A 37-year-old Dalton man was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with misdemeanor probation violation, possession of a schedule 2 drug, possession and use of drug-related objects and two counts of giving false information to a law officer.
• A 24-year-old Dalton man was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with cruelty to children (excessive physical mental/pain), battery (family violence), possession of meth, possession of a schedule 2 drug, possession of a firearm/knife during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and giving false information to a law officer.
• A 25-year-old Dalton woman was charged Saturday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with simple battery, misdemeanor theft by taking and exploitation/inflicting pain/depriving essential services to a disabled person, elder person or resident.
• A 24-year-old Dalton man was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI and open container violation.
• A 25-year-old Columbia, South Carolina, man was charged Saturday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI (drugs), failure to maintain lane and improper lane change or usage.
• A 55-year-old Dalton man was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with misdemeanor terroristic threats and acts, DUI, open container violation, obstruction of an officer by threat/violence, driving too fast for conditions and failure to maintain lane.
• A 31-year-old Dalton man was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with criminal trespass (damage of $500 or less), obstruction of an officer by threat/violence and fugitive from justice (Dutchess County, New York).
• A 28-year-old Dalton man was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of a schedule 2 drug, DUI, misdemeanor willful obstruction of law officers and improper lane change or usage.
• A 43-year-old Dalton man was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI and failure to maintain lane.
• A 51-year-old Dalton man was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, open container violation, failure to maintain lane, when lighted headlights and other lights required and driving without insurance.
• A 27-year-old Calhoun man was charged Sunday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI, open container violation and failure to maintain lane.
• A 31-year-old Chatsworth man was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with possession and use of drug-related objects and misdemeanor failure to appear.
• A 39-year-old Ringgold man was charged Sunday by the Tunnel Hill Police Department with possession of meth and misdemeanor willful obstruction of law officers.
