VALDOSTA — The SGMC Health Foundation has funded the acquisition of 41 new med syringe pumps, which will replace aging units across SGMC Health’s facilities, bolstering precision and reliability in medication delivery within its intensive care units, the hospital said in a press release this week.
The SGMC Health Foundation’s commitment to improving healthcare outcomes in the region has been instrumental in making this vital investment possible, the hospital said.
“This equipment offers advanced functionalities designed to streamline medication administration, reduce the risk of errors, and enhance overall efficiency in critical care settings,” said Travis Grassley, administrative director of pulmonary and neurosciences at SGMC Health. “With customizable drug libraries, comprehensive safety features, and intuitive interfaces, these pumps equip our team with the tools they need to deliver medications with precision and confidence.”
By leveraging philanthropic support, the health system can invest in cutting-edge medical technologies that empower its workforce to meet the evolving needs of patients, SGMC Health said in a press release.
