Free agency officially began Wednesday, but it was another quiet day for the Buffalo Bills.
Aside from officially re-signing defensive back Cam Lewis to a two-year deal, the Bills did not announce any new signings when the league year officially began at 4 p.m. They did, however, agree to terms on a one-year contract with wide receiver Mack Hollins, a league source confirmed to the Gazette.
The 30-year-old Hollins spent last season with the Atlanta Falcons, making 18 catches for 251 yards. The best of Hollins’ six seasons in the NFL came with the Raiders in 2022, catching 57 passes for 690 yards and four touchdowns, all of which were career-highs.
At 6-foot-4, 221 pounds, Hollins has 131 receptions for 1,691 yards and 10 touchdowns during stints with the Eagles, Dolphins, Raiders and Falcons. He played 94% of the offensive snaps with the Raiders in 2022, but has never reached 50% in any other season, although he has been a special teams ace, making 27 career tackles.
Another former Bills special teams standout, Siran Neal, agreed to terms with Miami, where he will join Jordan Poyer. Ex-Bills cornerback Dane Jackson agreed to a two-year deal with the Carolina Panthers.
