THOMASVILLE – Thomasville dominated on the tennis court on Tuesday evening as they took down Monroe. Between the girls and boys, the Bulldogs only gave up one set. The boys clinched their victory 4-1 and the girls swept the opposition 5-0.
Ella Rodd, Ruby Do and Kamryn Shokat were on fire for the Thomasville girls, taking each of their singles matches in two sets. Regan Gibson and Anna Shokat took their doubles match in two sets, but the most dominant team of the day was Trinity Do and Caroline Still. Do and Still didn’t relinquish a single point as they took their match in two sets, 6-0 and 6-0.
The boys side did drop a single game, but Wesley Montgomery and Jack Kirksey where able to win their matches in two sets. They both took one set 6-0.
Ashton Cargle and Eli Hines took their doubles match in two sets, but Owen Stump and Wyatt Stump made their doubles game a bit more interesting. The pair was able to take the first set 6-2, but lost a very close second set 7-6. The team were able to bounce back however, winning the third set and that match 12-10.
