Goodwill is hosting a job fair on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mack Gaston Community Center at 218 Fredrick St. in Dalton. The event will offer participants the opportunity to have an on-site interview for positions at the soon-to-be-opened Goodwill store in Dalton.
“This is a great way to get an on-the-spot interview and be a part of our grand opening of our Dalton store,” said Shelly Goodin, vice president of human resources for Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area.
Since 1923, Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area has helped people with barriers to employment get the training and support they need to find competitive employment in the community. Barriers may include mental, physical and emotional disabilities or other disadvantages such as a lack of formal education or a long absence from employment. Funding for job training services comes from the sale of donated items in Goodwill’s donated goods retail program, personal, corporate and state financial contributions and grants.
